A shooter with two firing styles. Tapping ZR fires a "first shot" with great range, accuracy, and damage, while holding it fires a shorter-range stream that paints more easily. If you can switch between them, it handles both splatting and painting, but keeping up the tap rhythm and swapping styles keeps you busy, so it's for experienced players. Kits are Splash Wall + Trizooka and Autobomb + Splattercolor Screen. On GameWith's tier list, the base version is rated 4 in every mode, so it's not highly rated in the current meta.

Strengths

The tapped first shot has no spread, even in the air, so you can hit precisely at mid-to-long range
Tap at max speed and you get Splattershot Pro–level TTK, with more range than the Splattershot Pro
It moves fast while firing for its range class, and holding fire paints your feet and surroundings
Set up a Splash Wall and you can win one-sided fights even against longer-range enemies

Watch out for

The first shot has terrible ink efficiency and paint, so tapping all the time drains your ink fast and leaves you short on paint
Held fire loses range, damage, and accuracy and becomes a four-shot kill, so it's bad for fights
Your TTK depends on how fast you tap, so splats are inconsistent until you get used to it
Its sub and special offer little scouting, so it's weak to lurkers ambushing it and to Ninja Squid users
Up close, it tends to lose to mid/short-range shooters and Carbon Rollers that close the gap

Tips

Switch firing style by goal: tap when fighting, hold when painting or building special
Practice the tap rhythm in the test range to make your TTK more consistent
Even when enemies get close, stick mostly to tapping and avoid fighting with held fire
Place the Splash Wall to counter corner campers or enemies dropping down from high ground. Placing it without a plan just wastes ink
