Gleamz Blaster
The standard Blaster: one direct hit or two blast hits splats. Among one-shot Blasters it has the shortest end lag after firing, so it can rack up splats with blasts over cover and direct hits. Its painting and fire rate are weak, so you usually attack off your teammates or your sub. The kits are Autobomb + Big Bubbler, Point Sensor + Triple Splashdown, and Squid Beakon + Crab Tank, and the base Blaster and the Custom Blaster are rated near the top in the current meta.

Best stages / Worst stages
Strengths
- High damage: one direct hit or two blast hits splats
- Shortest post-shot end lag among one-shot Blasters, so it's easy to squeeze in swimming or a sub between shots
- Blasts can damage enemies behind walls, below ledges, or up on high ground
- Around the Tower, its blast splats and corner clearing are especially strong
- The base Blaster and Custom Blaster sit in the top tier of GameWith's tier list for several modes, led by Tower Control
Watch out for
- Slow fire rate and shot speed make it very fragile when caught in the open with no cover
- Weak painting and heavy ink cost make it bad at turning things around when you're pinned back
- Up close the blast won't hit, so if you miss the direct hit, mobile Shooters and Dualies (especially the Dualie Squelchers family) can splat you easily
- Jump-shot spread is large even for a Blaster, so direct hits from the air are unreliable
- It can't spray a stream of shots, so it's hard to find enemies sneaking up with Ninja Squid
Tips
- Swim right after each shot to cut down your end lag and throw off the enemy's aim
- Instead of fighting head-on, go for direct hits from lurking spots, flanks, or while teaming up with allies
- Use blasts on enemies behind cover or on high ground, and follow up to finish once one lands
- Blasts don't hit at point-blank range, so aim for direct hits up close
