Foil Flingza Roller
A shape-shifting Roller whose performance changes a lot depending on how you swing: the horizontal swing one-shots like a Splat Roller, while the vertical flick is a long-range, paint-heavy zoning tool. The basic plan is to shape the map with vertical flicks to help your team, then splat enemies who lose patience and close in with horizontal swings. You need good judgment to switch between frontline and backline play as the situation changes.

Strengths
- Vertical flicks paint from your feet out past 5 lines, covering lots of ground even over height differences and obstacles
- Strong painting builds special quickly, so you can cycle things like Tenta Missiles to kick off a push to break a hold
- Horizontal swings and rolling can splat in one hit, so you can punish enemies who get close
- Vertical flicks deal at least 40 damage even to far-off enemies, and the arcing shots make it easy to cover teammates
- The base version's Ink Mine makes it easy to catch flankers and defend your side
Watch out for
- The vertical flick animation is very slow, and its splatting power is much lower than it looks
- Horizontal swings paint poorly and the droplets tend to slip past enemies, so the real one-hit range is short
- Its worst range is the middle distance (around 2 lines), where horizontal swings don't reach and vertical flicks leave you too open
- Weak to bombs like Splat Bomb aimed at your vertical flick's end lag
- Can barely touch long-range weapons like Chargers that shoot from beyond your paint's reach
Tips
- Build a favorable map with vertical flicks, then splat enemies who lose patience and get close with horizontal swings
- If you go in, commit; if you back off, really back off. Don't hang around at an awkward middle distance
- Close the gap with jumping horizontal swings (press B right after ZR). Practice so you don't accidentally do a vertical flick
- When flicking at far-off enemies, point your reticle straight at them so the ink lands sooner

Suction Bomb adds zoning and object damage against things like Splash Walls and Crab Tanks, and Splattercolor Screen blocks enemy vision and doubles as cover to push the front line.Recent changes
- 11.0.0: System change for all weapons: main weapons get bigger hitboxes against players (the shorter the range, the bigger the boost), squid form gets a smaller hurtbox, and the game adds "Flow Aura" (a temporary power-up when you keep performing well) plus a remaining-health display (source 8)
- 11.1.0: Main weapon: vertical flick damage falloff adjusted so 50/100 damage reaches farther (source 9)
- 11.2.0: Special change, Splattercolor Screen: can be placed farther away (Foil Flingza Roller) (source 10)
